It is the first Grand Theft Auto game to be launched on portable platforms since Vice City Stories in 2006. The thirteenth game in the above game series, an update to Grand Theft Auto IV. The single-player story, which takes place in modern-day Liberty City, is an unreal comedy of New York City. It focuses on young Triad member Huang Lee’s attempts to retrieve a sword. That Sword was given to him by his late father. After it was stolen, all the while accidentally getting caught up in a struggle for control across the Triads in Liberty City.

The game’s core concept was to allow gamers to connect with things on the DS and smartphone platforms using their Screen touch monitors. while also introducing new gameplay aspects not seen in previous Grand Theft Auto games. After the game’s launch, the most popular feature—the option to purchase illegal drugs from producers. And resell them to sellers for profit—proved to be popular. The game was well-received by critics despite this.

Gameplay​

In contrast to Grand Theft Auto IV, smashing police cars to get away from the police could earn the gamer desired stars rather than allowing them to leave a “wanted zone”. For every level, the gamer has to remove more police the more stars they collect. To drop from a six-star level, for instance, to a five-star wanted level, and so forth, six police cars must be removed. In addition, there is a subplot focused on drug sales, wherein players can engage in the sale of drugs, acid, ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, and substances inside the city. By identifying regional wants and market conditions, players may profit from tailoring their offerings.

CCTV cameras function as the game’s hidden packages, which may be damaged by hurling a grenade or a Molotov cocktail bottle. This lowers the possibility of getting arrested while dealing drugs. And it offers savings on drug purchases. Many of the Grand Theft Auto IV advancements, like the upgraded HUD, are applied in Chinatown Wars. The reappearance of Ammu-Nation takes the form of an in-game website where players may place orders for different weapons via their PDA and have them sent to their safe house. Additionally, players will receive emails that they may read on their PC or PDA in their haven.

A completely rotating camera aimed down at the action is used in Chinatown Wars in place of a centralized or surface view behind the lead character. Finally, Chinatown Wars applies an original technique. It’s for the series – cel-shaded models with black outlines to create a look similar to comic books. Except for Alderney, the whole game is set in a reduced version of Liberty City from Grand Theft Auto IV. Chinatown Wars provides different techniques.
