The game was made available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable in June 2010. It was also released for Android in November 2010, OS X in January 2011, iOS in September 2016, and PlayStation 4 in October 2016. On the day of the game’s official announcement, a teaser trailer was made available. Four separate vignettes were then released, starting in December 2009. Every vignette concentrated on one of the game’s first four years. To fit in with the game’s release, a new trailer was made available. The official website has all six trailers. In June 2010, a demo of the game was published for Windows, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live.
Gameplay
Firstly, the capability to cast spells is an essential component of the game, and as the player progresses, a large variety of spells become visible. The player can choose a spell from among many that are available in the game by using the spell wheel. Another essential feature is the ability to make medications, which can either assist the player in finishing a level or, if made incorrectly, have negative side effects like changing the player into a frog. ‘Student in Peril’ missions, which consist of a series of tasks to assist a student.Secondly, Polyjuice Medication enables players to temporarily transform one of the player’s characters into any other uncovered mini-figure. Those are two modifications to the game mechanics from earlier titles. One major change is to the hub system. The Leaky Cauldron is a hub for going back to earlier levels, Diagon Alley is a hub for buying available extras, and Hogwarts is a massive hub that is always changing and contains available characters that can be noticed by finding their secreted images.
Thirdly, Traveler’s Tales, the game developer, has improved the stage design overall because of Hogwarts’ larger areas. Another bonus level that lets players personalize the environment like Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is also included. When the player gets lost in a game, they can proceed to the next level by following a trail of Ghost Studs. Although they don’t add up to studs, these can lead the user to the level’s next area. Diagon Alley is made up of several establishments where the player can purchase new characters or modify existing ones. It spells and bricks with various functions, like turning the player’s wand into a carrot or giving them power. However, the gameplay of Harry Potter is similar to most preceding Lego video games, with a focus on puzzle-solving, exploration, and gathering.
