“Miami Vice – The Game” is a video game that is focused on third-person shooting. It was made available as a connection to the same-titled 2006 movie. The goal of the game is to eliminate Sacrenegra, a drug lord from South America whose activities the authorities are unable to connect to.
The majority of the gameplay while progressing through the levels consists of fighting with enemies that must be removed to move on. The primary focus is on finding cover because, in a shoot-out, a player’s health will quickly run out if they stay out in the open. Laser sightings serve as an aimed reticule on all firearms.
Gameplay
The player may also handle drug products with other vendors, both purchasing and selling. Drugs can be purchased once and stored for a few days, during which time their value may rise and the player may benefit. Every level also has different medications that may be purchased and then sold for a profit when the level is finished. Drugs may also be sold to agents in exchange for information.FlashRams may be found throughout each level and then “hacked” in the police station. “Hacking” is similar to playing an arcade game where the player symbol is regularly hit by boxes that must be destroyed to score a set amount. Every FlashRam has three progressively harder levels. Money gained may be used to purchase and upgrade weapons, outfits, and armor.
Each weapon has a modification option that increases its strength, accuracy, and magazine capacity to more efficiently dispatch enemies. After completing the upgrade path, the player may access a secret “Coke Head” mode by pushing the Triangle button. This mode increases movement and firing speed, but at the expense of 50% life loss and decreased accuracy while shooting.
