The video game ” Star Wars – Battlefront II ” is based on the Star Wars movie series. It is the second entry in the game series and a follow-up to 2004’s Star Wars – Battlefront. The campaign in Battlefront II is more visually focused. It describes parts of the Star Wars series from the perspective of an experienced Imperial Stormtrooper clone reflecting on his time serving both the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire. However, the utilization of Jedi and Sith, other game modes like hero attack, and objective-based space battles are some of the gameplay improvements over Battlefront.

Reviews of Battlefront II were positive, with many praises for its story. Similar to the first game, it was a financial success, with 6 million copies sold by 2007. On May 31, 2014, GameSpy Technologies planned to shut down all of the titles that used the service, including this game for the Xbox, PS2, and PC. Battlefront II will continue to receive support from Electronic Arts through June 30, 2014. On July 25, 2014, the extended support came to an end, bringing all of the GameSpy online video games across all platforms offline.

Gameplay​

Firstly, this adds new gameplay concepts including rolling forward and sprinting, but otherwise plays very similarly to its predecessor. While certain game types have varied goals, including capturing the flag, the majority of missions have the overall purpose of eliminating the other group. However, the game is divided into two periods. They are Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems fought each other in the Clone Wars. while the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance fought each other in the Galactic Civil War.

Secondly, every group has two special classes in addition to the four basic classes. These classes are unique to each faction and can only be unlocked by earning a set amount of points. The quantity of special classes that can be used together on the field of view is restricted.

Thirdly, heroic figures from the Star Wars universe can now be controlled by players in Battlefront II. Heroes were only present in the first Battlefront as randomized NPCs that appeared at random during combat. In addition, heroes are exclusive to each faction and may only be unlocked by reaching a set number of points. There can be a limit of one hero per faction on the battlefield at any given moment because Heroes are the most powerful class in the game. Every hero is limited to specific maps, although the Mos Eisley map is the only one with a team deathmatch mode. Where heroes from all factions can battle for points by making kills on each other.
