The mobile version resembles previous mobile Tomb Raider games with side-scrolling gameplay. At the same time, the Wii version adds motion control features that are beyond the console. The first game in the series debuted Lara Croft as the main character. It sets gameplay parameters for the series. Tomb Raider was a commercial and critical success. When it was developed through the British studio Core Design and released in 1996. Four more games in a row from 1997 to 2000, came after it. Despite developmental issues, they hurried to release their sixth version of this game. It led to poor sales and mostly unfavorable reviews.
Gameplay
In this one-player action-adventure game, the player takes control of Lara Croft. This is the main character, via fourteen stages spread over four different global locales. Additional capabilities include the ability to interact with switches and objects. And the ability to swim and dive for a brief period underwater. It will use a grappling hook to latch onto special rings for both environmental traversal and puzzle solving. A roll and a swan dive are two further moves that can be made with different button combinations. Lara can swing on ropes and horizontal poles. This also crawls through tight spaces, getting up & shifting along ledges, upward poles, or steps.Until Lara solves puzzles by turning on switches or locating and using hidden keys. she is unable to advance through the levels. They require resisting timed environmental elements and traps. In certain parts, the player must respond to on-screen control prompts to pass quick time events. She can find both big and small Medipacks that can repair damage from gameplay. The items that let her advance through a level or the entire game. when gathered hidden relics and material that unlock rewards like costumes.
While in fighting, the player can move freely to prevent enemy attacks. It switches to another target within range as Lara automatically locks on to them and fires her equipped gun. Until she breaks free or right herself after falling, animal enemies can grab her and knock her down. And leaving her open to damage. After several shots, stronger foes get angered and charge at her. Time slows down as they get closer, allowing her to escape the coming blow and launch a counterattack. When two focusing on reticles overlap, a special attack known as a headshot is launched. This attack kills a regular opponent and deals significant damage to owners’ personalities.
